Good morning. In case anyone notices fire department vehicles and personnel at Marcia Buker: There is no emergency. The Department is here checking the air quality after yesterday's boiler incident. They found no issues. They will check again after the boiler is fixed and fully back online today.

Notice of school evacuation today: This afternoon, around 1:45, we evacuated the school after cleaning of the boiler caused fumes to enter the school. Students and staff were out of the building within one or two minutes of us noticing the fumes and stayed outside for approximately 20 minutes, until the boiler and intake system were shut down and the air cleared. Chief Donnell was here to help monitor the situation. The students and staff did an excellent job calmly and quickly getting out of the building. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me or the school. ~ Mary

No PreK 1/24/25: There is no Prek on Friday, 1/24 due to illness. We have a high rate of stomach and respiratory illness circulating among our preK students, and the cases are increasing. The three-day break will give our custodial crew a chance to deeply disinfect the room and curb the rapid spread of illness.
