Hello Marcia Buker Families!
School life was good this week. The students enjoyed learning under the planetarium dome, and the staff enjoyed the expressions of appreciation from our PTG, colleagues, and parents!
The week also included extra rehearsals for the K-2 concert next week; the first-ever student art exhibit opening at the Umberhind Library; a continuation of Days of Caring; and the 5th grade walk to Umberhind to get library cards for summer reading.
Speaking of reading, your student in K-5 should be able to tell you about our Bikes for Books challenge. On June 6th, two lucky drawing winners from each grade will receive a brand new bike for meeting the reading challenge their teacher has set up!
Many of these events and activities are the traditional hallmarks of the last two months of school.
There are many more to come, so stay tuned to communications from teachers and the newsletter!
Wishing all of the moms, grandmoms, and great grandmoms a Happy Mother's Day!
Mary

Staff Appreciation: We are exceptionally grateful to our PTG and other community members for the breakfast and luncheon buffets this week. It's such a busy time of year for everyone; the collective time and energy it took many hands to provide the beautiful arrays of healthy and indulgent foods made the teachers and support staff feel valued and honored.

We even had some early morning help from Emerson Drake (pictured), Emmet DeWever, and Eve Lavallee.
We also thank Chief Donnell for the delicious donuts!
The PTG luncheon on Friday was a perfect end to appreciation week!
