I hope this message finds you well. As we begin another school year, I want to take a moment to emphasize the critical role that regular school attendance plays in your child’s educational success.

Research shows that consistent attendance is a key factor in a student’s academic achievement and overall development. To ensure that each student reaches their full potential, it is important that they attend school regularly and arrive on time each day.  

Chronic absenteeism, defined as missing at least 15 days of school per year, can have serious consequences. Students who are frequently absent are at an increased risk of falling behind academically, struggling with their coursework, and, ultimately, dropping out of school. This not only affects their current performance but can also impact their future opportunities and success.

Every day of instruction is valuable, and we strive to provide engaging, meaningful learning experiences for all students. Your child’s presence in school not only supports their own learning but also contributes to the positive and dynamic environment we work hard to cultivate.

We understand that there are occasional circumstances that may necessitate a child’s absence. However, we encourage you to work with us to minimize absences and address any issues that may be contributing to frequent missed days. Our school team is here to support you and your child in any way we can.

Please consider the following steps to help ensure your child’s consistent attendance:

1. Establish a Routine: Ensure your child has a regular bedtime and morning routine to prepare them for a successful day at school.

2. Communicate with Us: If your child is facing challenges that affect their attendance, let us know. We are here to offer support and resources.

3. Plan Ahead: Schedule appointments and vacations outside of school hours whenever possible to avoid unnecessary absences. If you are planning a vacation or other trip during school, please make sure to have the absence approved in advance by filling out the planned absence form.

Your partnership in promoting regular school attendance is vital to your child’s success. Together, we can help them build the foundation for a bright future.
