The 2026 Richmond Schools Day of Caring, sponsored by the United Way of Kennebec Valley, was a huge success! On Friday, May 8, students partnered with community organizations throughout Richmond to give back through service and volunteerism. Bobcats lent a hand at the food pantry, Umberhind Library, the Grange, Lane Field, Peacock Beach, and more, while other students worked hard beautifying the gardens and grounds on campus.
A big thank you to Mr. Carter & Spear for organizing the day, our food service staff for providing an awesome lunch, and to Darlings Ice Cream and Ye Olde Fish and Chips for their delicious snacks and generous charitable donations. We are grateful for all of the volunteers and community partners who donated time and resources to make this day a success.
Our students worked hard, represented Richmond proudly, and showed what Bobcat Pride is all about!
