We are proud to share that Bobcat Sprouts Gardens, the outdoor learning space at Marcia Buker School, has been selected as the October 2025 “School Garden of the Month” by the Maine School Garden Network. This recognition highlights the meaningful outdoor, hands-on learning experiences our students engage in throughout the year.
These valuable learning spaces on our school campus include an outdoor classroom, dedicated beds for vegetables and pollinator plants, butterfly and caterpillar gardens, a story-walk trail, sensory walk, and more!
Bobcat Sprouts Gardens began as a vision of Te Wood, whose dedication helped create a space where students can explore the natural world, build curiosity, and connect classroom learning to the outdoors. We are grateful for to the many staff, student and community volunteers who help keep the gardens thriving.
