black dog with a white scarf

Richmond students have a new furry friend in the hallways—Mira, a three-legged therapy dog, has officially joined our school community! She accompanies Mrs. Newcomb, our school social worker, and is already bringing smiles, comfort, and plenty of tail wags to students and staff alike.

Mira is now a registered therapy dog through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, making her an official source of love and support. She thrives on visiting with people, soaking up extra cuddles, and spreading joy wherever she goes.

Our local community has welcomed Mira with open arms, and she has quickly become a beloved part of our school family. She may have three legs, but she has a huge heart, and we’re so lucky to have her.
