The Richmond Bobcats, competing as part of a cooperative wrestling team with Monmouth Academy, had a strong showing at the Class B South Regional Championship, finishing 4th overall. Several Richmond wrestlers stood out with impressive performances, earning spots at the upcoming state championships.

Braden McKenzie-Miquelon secured a 4th place finish in his weight class, while Tate Taylor fought his way to 2nd place after an intense final match. Both wrestlers have qualified for the Class B State Championship, which will take place next Saturday at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston.

In addition, Richmond senior Autumn Lane will represent the Bobcats at the Girls’ State Championship on February 18th at Mt. Blue High School.

Congratulations to all of our wrestlers and to Coach Mat Johnson for a fantastic showing. Best of luck at states! Go Bobcats!
