Greetings Bobcat Families!
I hope you are enjoying the weekend!
We certainly enjoyed good times at school last week!
Of course it's always a good week when the puppet show is in town! I hope your children came home excited about the "The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow." Don't be surprised if your socks are missing a few mates and you are a couple pingpong balls short; after the show, the puppeteers explained in detail how to make a sock puppet, among other amazing creations!
The highlights of this week will be the opening of the Book Fair and Parent-teacher Conferences on Thursday. We love any event that brings our families to school!
Hope to see you!

Happy Retirement to Regina Stilphen!
Hundreds of children, many now grown, have been taught by Regina Stilphen, who has served in public education for 38 years, as an Ed Tech III in PreK, Special Ed, and Title I. It's hard to imaging our team without her expertise, warm smile, and dedication to kids. We will miss our colleague, and we wish her a great retirement adventure!

Time for cold weather gear!
With the temps dropping, it's time to start sending your child to school with a warm coat, hat, mittens/gloves, socks, and boots. We value time learning and playing outdoors at Marcia Buker, and we don't want our students to be cold! As always, if you are in need of winter gear, please reach out to us.
It Takes a Village
Super Snack! Thanks to the PTG and Nurse Ashley, we ended the week with a a delicious morning snack of apples with a Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and maple syrup dip, homemade by Brittni Guerrette. We are grateful to Nurse Ashley and the PTG for continuing to teach the importance of making healthy snack choices by introducing students to new tastes.
