Happy Friday! This is a reminder of the goings on at school next week, 10/20 - 10/24:
Tuesday is Picture Retake Day: For students needing retakes or who were absent. Please note: packets must be returned to have a retake.
The entire month of October is National Bullying Prevention month, as part of that effort, Wednesday, 10/22 is Unity Day. At Marcia Buker, we are promoting awareness, and a sense of being part of a commUNITY all week long!
Spirit Week
Monday- Maroon/Bobcat Pride
Tuesday- Silly Socks
Wednesday- Wear Orange/Unity Day
Thursday- Math Day (Wear your favorite number; clothing with a pattern; math related accessories; musical note; etc.)
Friday- Favorite Color/Hat Day
Wednesday: On Unity Day, the students and staff will form one great moment of connection with everyone joined together by an orange paper chain with a student-created message of kindness on each link.
Thursday evening is Family Math Night (with a Halloween theme) from 6:00-7:30 PM. Students and grownups are encouraged to come in appropriate, not-too-scary costumes without face coverings that even young children can enjoy, and follow our dress code. And of course, bring your mathematical minds!
